Lyrical Life Lessons is excited to announce the first ever exhibition created as part of the project’s workshop strand.
Project creator, illustrator Caishnah Nevans, worked in conjunction with the Glasgow Assoc. for Mental Health’s young carers group on a block of workshops during February and March. The purpose of these sessions was to create a variety of artworks inspired by favourite lyrics and lyrics promoting positivity.
Both the process of creating these and the resulting talks about music are fundamental to the project’s mission to encourage open emotional dialogue as well as encourage expression through creativity.
The group worked on a wide range of pieces including albums covers and jacket patches.
The exhibition will take place at Theatre Nemo in Glasgow with an opening evening from 4pm – 6pm on Friday March 23rd and open again from 10am – 5pm the following day, Saturday 24th. There will be further information about the project as well as the opportunity to meet Caishnah to find out more.
There will also be the chance to submit your own lyrical story to the site.
